H. E. Mr. Nabil Fahmy, Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, strongly condemned the attack on the East-West Pipeline in the Riyadh and Madinah regions of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia by a number of drones launched from Iraqi territory, which resulted in human casualties and material damage. He described the attack as a flagrant violation of the Kingdom’s sovereignty, a serious threat to its security and stability, and a clear breach of the rules of international law and the Charter of the United Nations.

Mr. Nabil Fahmy, Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, received a piece of the Kiswah of the Kaaba, known as the Hizam, as a gift from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the League.

H. E. Mr. Nabil Fahmy, Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, welcomed the United Kingdom’s decision to ban trade in goods produced in illegal Israeli settlements, as well as the stated intention of 12 friendly countries to take similar steps by imposing restrictions on trade in goods originating from settlements established in violation of international law.

H. E. Mr Nabil Fahmy, Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, condemned the Iranian attack on the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan with ballistic missiles, in a flagrant violation of Jordan’s sovereignty and territorial integrity and a serious threat to the security and stability of the region, warning that the continuation of the growing wave of Iranian escalation against the Gulf States and a number of Arab States threatens to plunge the entire region once again into an open war that would undermine any diplomatic effort aimed at containing the escalation through negotiation.

As part of his visit to the Republic of Tunisia, Mr. Nabil Fahmy, Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, was received on the evening of 8 September by Mr. Mohamed Ali Nafti, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Migration and Tunisians Abroad, at the Ministry’s headquarters.

As part of his visit to the Republic of Tunisia, Mr. Nabil Fahmy, Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, attended on 9 September the opening of the second edition of the AI Forward Summit, held under the theme “From Vision to Value: Accelerating the Building of an AI Society”.

H. E. Mr. Nabil Fahmy, Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, strongly condemned the continued escalation by the Houthi militia, including attacks on a number of civilian and economic facilities and sites in cities across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which resulted in injuries among civilians. He also condemned the militia’s continued targeting of commercial vessels in the Red Sea and its threats to the freedom of international maritime navigation.

H. E. Mr. Nabil Fahmy, Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, received Mr Taher Al-Baour, Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the State of Libya, on the occasion of his participation in the 166th Ordinary Session of the Council of the League of Arab States at the ministerial level. The meeting addressed developments in Libya and the efforts being made to advance the political process, as well as a number of Arab issues of common interest.

H. E. Mr. Nabil Fahmy, Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, received Mr. Youssef Rajji, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Lebanese Republic, at the General Secretariat headquarters on the sidelines of the 166th session of the League Council at the Ministerial Level.

H. E. Mr. Nabil Fahmy, Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, received on 7 September Dr. Afrah Al-Zouba, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of the Republic of Yemen. The meeting addressed the latest developments in Yemen and efforts to support its security and stability in ways that meet the aspirations of the Yemeni people and preserve the unity of the Yemeni state and its national institutions.

H. E. Mr. Mr Nabil Fahmy, Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, received Mr Mohamed Ali Nafti, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Migration and Tunisians Abroad of the Republic of Tunisia, at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the League. The meeting addressed a number of issues related to joint Arab action and coordination between the General Secretariat and Tunisia during the coming period.
