The Council of Arab Ambassadors in Madrid reaffirms the importance of preserving Casa Árabe's current headquarters as a symbol of cultural dialogue and the longstanding ties between Spain and the Arab world.

The League of Arab States welcomed the decisions taken by the Kingdom of the Netherlands and the Kingdom of Belgium to prohibit the import, purchase and sale of products originating from Israeli settlements established in the Occupied Palestinian Territory, describing the measures as a positive step towards strengthening respect for international law and the principles of international legitimacy.

The official spokesperson for the League of Arab States emphasised the League's unequivocal rejection of Iran's targeting of the Gulf States and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, as well as the Houthi group's attack on a Saudi oil tanker in the Red Sea, stating that these actions constitute a violation of international law and pose a serious threat to maritime security and regional stability.

Secretary-General of the League of Arab States Mr. Nabil Fahmy held a telephone conversation on 21 July with Mr. Ahmed Attaf, Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, National Community Abroad and African Affairs of the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria.

Secretary-General of the League of Arab States Mr. Nabil Fahmy held telephone conversations with His Excellency Sayyid Badr bin Hamad bin Hamood Al Busaidi, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Sultanate of Oman; His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates; and His Highness Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Al Ahmad Al Sabah, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Kuwait, in light of the serious escalation currently taking place in the region.

Secretary-General of the League of Arab States Mr. Nabil Fahmy denounced statements by the Israeli Defence Minister regarding plans to establish settlements in the northern Gaza Strip. He said that these statements reflect the Israeli right wing’s agenda to reoccupy the Gaza Strip, or parts thereof, and are in flagrant contradiction to the peace plan put forward last year, as well as UN Security Council Resolution 2803 (November 2025).

Secretary-General of the League of Arab States Mr. Nabil Fahmy expressed his complete rejection and strong condemnation of the heinous terrorist attacks launched by the Houthi militia using ballistic missiles and targeting the southern region of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. He stressed that this cowardly terrorist attack can neither be accepted nor justified in any way.
