Mr. Nabil Fahmy, Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, met with Mr. Mohamed Ali Nafti, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Migration and Tunisians Abroad of the Republic of Tunisia and President of the 166th session of the League of Arab States Council at the Ministerial Level, ahead of the consultative meeting of the League Council at the Ministerial Level, held on the sidelines of the high-level meetings of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.

H. E. Mr. Nabil Fahmy, Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, participated in the annual consultative meeting of the League Council at the Ministerial Level, held in New York on the sidelines of the high-level meetings of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly. The meeting was chaired by Mr. Mohamed Ali Nafti, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Migration and Tunisians Abroad of the Republic of Tunisia and President of the 166th session of the League Council at the Ministerial Level, and attended by Arab foreign ministers and heads of delegations.

League of Arab States condemns Israeli escalation against Palestinian people and holy sites
The General Secretariat of the League of Arab States strongly condemned the incursion into the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque by an Israeli government official and a group of settlers under the protection of the Israeli occupation forces. It reaffirmed its categorical rejection of any infringement upon the sanctity of Al-Aqsa Mosque and Islamic holy sites, or any attempt to alter their existing historical and legal status. It also stressed the need to respect the Hashemite custodianship over the Islamic and Christian holy sites in Jerusalem.

Nabil Fahmy denounces attempt to target Makkah Al-Mukarramah, reaffirms League's full solidarity with Saudi Arabia
H. E. Mr. Nabil Fahmy, Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, strongly denounced the attempt to target Makkah Al-Mukarramah with a drone, after the Saudi authorities announced that they had intercepted and destroyed the drone south of Makkah before it entered the restricted airspace over the holy city. He stressed that any threat to the security of Makkah Al-Mukarramah and the sanctity of Islamic holy sites is a matter of grave concern, given the threat such acts pose to the security of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the safety of its citizens, residents and pilgrims, as well as the provocation they represent to Muslims around the world.
