H. E. Mr. Nabil Fahmy, Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, strongly condemned statements calling for the displacement of the Palestinian people from the Gaza Strip, made by Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir and Israeli Defence Minister Israel Katz. He affirmed that such statements defy the efforts of the international community to advance peace, bring the war in Gaza to an end, and put a stop to the humanitarian suffering endured by Gazans over recent months as a result of Israel’s continued unilateral and escalatory policies.

H. E. Mr. Nabil Fahmy, Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, strongly condemned the criminal Israeli attacks against civilians and infrastructure in Nabatieh in southern Lebanon, including the destruction of the Gondor Hospital and the targeting of the Ministry of Finance building, describing them as a flagrant violation of Lebanon’s sovereignty and a blatant breach of international law and international humanitarian law.

The General Secretariat of the League of Arab States condemns the continued Iranian attacks against the State of Kuwait, the latest of which was the missile and drone attack launched against Kuwait on 3 September. The Secretariat reaffirms its unequivocal rejection of the continued violation of the sovereignty, security and territorial integrity of an Arab state.
Secretary-General of the League of Arab States welcomes Sudanese initiative to advance national dialogue and Sovereignty Council decisions to safeguard freedom of dialogue
H. E. Mr. Nabil Fahmy, Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, welcomed an initiative by a group of Sudanese national figures to lay the groundwork for the launch of an intra-Sudanese dialogue through preliminary consultations with Sudanese political, civil and community forces. The consultations aim to build a minimum level of trust conducive to convening an inclusive dialogue in Sudan, without imposing a predetermined process or agenda, or claiming any representation or mandate beyond what is agreed upon by the Sudanese themselves.

He emphasised that any infringement upon the security of an Arab State or targeting of its territory, under any pretext, is wholly unacceptable.
